ABOUT ME

HOW I GOT STARTED

I played basketball throughout my younger years, so when I was about 15, I convinced my mom to get me a membership at X Sport Fitness so I could improve my vertical and speed. Seeing results from my training was addicting, and I was immediately hooked. I stopped playing basketball after school, and I continued to do bodybuilding full-time.

After years of training, I decided I wanted to become a personal trainer to help people achieve their goals. I've helped many clients with their transformations, including my own. I'm a big believer in self-development and mindset. I learned that with a strong body, must also come with a strong mind.

MY CURRENT TRAINING

While I got started in body building, my current training is a combination of building and strength training. If you're getting stronger and continuing to move more weight, then your body has no choice but to grow. With strength training and powerlifting style combined, it will translate into your physique because you will be able to push more weight with the progressive overload you are doing isolation/accessory work.

MY DIET

I utilize IIFYM (if it fits your macros) otherwise known as Flexible Dieting. I don't have a set diet with set food sources because every day is totally different for me. As long as I'm hitting my macro, micro and fiber goals for the day, I'm good.

The way nutrition is preached in the fitness industry, it makes it extremely difficult for people to start their fitness journey. When I first began training, I was taught and became accustomed to the whole “clean and dirty” mentality toward dieting, giving food morals "good and bad". Which isn't attainable if you want to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. You're forced to avoid food sources that you enjoy just because you may be trying to lose fat and, ultimately, you deprive yourself physically and mentally. I use the 80:20 rule, which consists 80% good food and 20%  'fun' food.

And I don't know about you, but I enjoy my food.

WHAT TRAINING WITH ME IS LIKE

I absolutely love helping others reach their goals with balance and simplicity. One of the best parts about being a personal trainer is that we have the power to change peoples' lives in a positive way. I'm going to be there with you every step of the way to help you reach your goals. You'll have to understand that there are no shortcuts or 'magic' pill. Results take time, and you have to be consistent. However, I'll take all the guesswork out for you so you can live a balanced life while continually progressing towards your goals.
